Spring Dresses Inspired by Provence: Featuring Beyond by Vera’s Verdure Collection
Some pieces speak to a season, a feeling, or even a landscape! When I first saw these dresses from Beyond by Vera’s new Verdure collection, I was immediately drawn to the print. It’s called Gordes, inspired by the wildflowers that bloom each spring around the village of Gordes in Provence!
The Print:
Part of the Verdure collection, the Gordes print captures the soft beauty of nature in bloom. The delicate florals, muted tones, and organic flow of the pattern feel effortless and refined. It’s inspired by the hillsides of southern France, where wildflowers grow freely around one of the region’s most beloved villages.
The Collection’s Inspiration:
For Spring 2025, designer Vera Fritsch took a deeply personal approach to the Verdure collection. After spending time living in France and immersing herself in the French lifestyle, she fell in love with the countryside and its stunning variety of landscapes, from the lavender fields of Provence to the cliffs of Normandy and the rugged peaks of the Pyrénées. Each print in the collection is hand-drawn and inspired by the flora she encountered during her time there, creating a wearable tribute to the beauty of France!
A Closer Look at Gordes:
Gordes is a hilltop village in the Luberon region of Provence, known for its stone houses, cobbled streets, and panoramic views over the valley. Often named one of the most beautiful villages in France, it has long drawn artists and visitors with its quiet charm and timeless setting.
In spring, the landscape around Gordes transforms. Wild poppies, lavender, and native blooms bring color to the olive groves and winding paths, creating a dreamy, painterly backdrop. The Gordes print brings that vision to life in a subtle and elegant way, celebrating the beauty of the region through design!
Note: For reference, I’m wearing a size M in both dresses and found the fit to be true to size. A small note on the white dress, the fabric is slightly sheer in certain lighting, so I’d recommend wearing nude or seamless undergarments for a smoother look! Shop the Dresses here!
The Dresses:
Both dresses from the collection are light and versatile, perfect for spring days and easy to dress up or down. The Gordes print adds just the right amount of detail without overpowering the look. It feels fresh, romantic, and quietly timeless, with silhouettes that move effortlessly with you!
With their beautiful tones and delicate florals, these pieces also feel perfectly suited for this time of year, ideal for spring events, garden gatherings, or even an Easter weekend brunch! Light, feminine, and full of charm, they make getting dressed for the season feel beautifully simple!
The Verdure collection is a lovely reminder of how clothing can reflect a sense of place and season. Whether or not you’ve wandered the streets of Gordes, the spirit of this village comes through in every detail of the print. Soft florals, a nod to spring, and a feeling of calm, all wrapped into dresses that carry the essence of Provence!
